Creating a directory with FileZilla
FileZilla is a valuable tool for managing the files and folders of the own website. In this article it is shown how to create a directory with FileZilla, and how to move a specific file from its previous directory to the newly created directory.
Creating a directory with FileZilla

Select “Create Directory”Click with the right mouse button on yellow folder-symbol of the parent directory as shown on the screenshot.
Select “Create Directory”.

FileZilla proposes “New folder”FileZilla asks you to enter the name of the new directory. It proposes the name “New folder”.

New folder is named “Trash_14.11.2006″ In the example, a directory with the name “Trash_14.11.2006″ will be created.
Press the OK button.

FileZilla displays additional directoryThe additional directory “Trash_14.11.2006″ has been created on the remote site.
Moving file with FileZilla

Dragging the file “268.gif”The file “268.gif” isn’t needed anymore. Select this file with one mouse click and hold the left mouse button pressed.

Dropping the file “268.gif” Drag and drop the file to the directory “Trash_14.11.2006″.

“268.gif” isn’t displayed anymoreThe file “268.gif” isn’t located in the directory “bilder” anymore.

“268.gif” is located in new directoryNow, the file “268.gif” can be found in the directory “Trash_14.11.2006″.
