How to: WordPress plugin Contact Form ][

WordPress offers the possibility to install plug-ins. For example, you may install a plug-in to insert a contact form. In this blog post, it will be shown how to download, install and test the plug-in Contact Form ][.

Double-click on the FileZilla shortcut that is located on the Windows XP desktop.
In the example, FileZilla itself is located in the encrypted TrueCrypt volume Z:.

Select your FTP site and press the connect button.

FileZilla connects to the FTP site. In the example, the folder "blog" contains the WordPress files.
Press the mouse button to open the blog folder.

In the Example, the plugins folder contains several plugins:
Akismet, Spam Karma 2, hello.php, WP-PostViews, and WordPress Database Backup.

Drag and drop the recently extracted folder wp-contact-form from the Windows XP desktop into the plugins folder.

Let's have a short overview over the available plug-ins. The plug-ins with the green backgrounds are activated. At the moment, there are three plug-ins activated.

In the administration of your WordPress blog, there should be a special section for the newly added plugin Contact Form ][. You may now specify the e-mail address, the success message, and the error message.

Let's write a page with the page title "Contact". There is a special code that has to be inserted to display the contact form. This code is shown on the screenshot.
